“A Pear”
350,00 €
In this small series ostensibly about vegetables, I worked in the hidden layers with some very strong personal images, those photographs that I have taken but can’t look at without having my heart skip a beat, so I decided to hide them behind these changing elements.
Description
“A Pear”
10 Layered toned Cianotype
unique piece
Tricolor Cyanotype on layering of 8 monochrome Cyanotypes toned in black tea, 15x15cm
I call them “Hidden Cyanotypes,” uncomfortable, very uncomfortable images, photographs I took but can look at, memories hard to digest, hidden by an ordinary, simple, lightly changing reality…
Veiled here is the farewell, the loved one fading, the last petal of the rose withering away….
The weary life that wants to leave….
But you will not see it, it is not possible to feed your eyes, in front of you only a pear remains….
As there our digital realities where everything is masked, let us remember that every living being is composed of many facets, most of them concealed by a beautiful smile.
